We call him Jackie Pooper

LOL! Yup, we do. I vowed that if we named our son Jack, we would NOT call him jackie...well, that didn't work! Ha ha ha! O-well, no problem, he is just so darn adorable!

Last night my dad took e, my oldest fishing. I think my dad had more fun than e did. And e had the time of his life. Funny that you learn things about your parnets at the oddest of times. My dad, who owns and operates 2 golf courses, wanted to spend his adult life fishing with his cousin, when he was a boy. I never knew he liked fishing so much- I mean, he NEVER goes! Well, owing golf courses wont really let you do much of anything in the summer, but he never took any winter trips either. Funny how the little details of life are sometimes forgotton. Glad he is able to now share his passion with e. They plan on going lots this summer....

So this is twice in one week! A record- well, almost. :)
If I post once more this week, it will be a record- ha ha ha!

Off to check out my favorite site, Diaper Swappers, and see what the fabulous ladies have cookin there. Always some super cute creations for babies. Oh- and I found this super cute set for the baby that I hope to score: http://hyenacart.com/prod_details.php?id=45676&vid=2433

sweeet.

see, i told you i was not good at keeping up with things...

so it has been what? 5 months since I last was activly "blogging"? LOL! Well, lets give it another try. :)

I find it hard to find time to actually sit down and write, though I always seem to be conversing in my head what I will be writing about. I thought about writing this blog since yesterday, and so much has gone through my head about what this post should be about. I generally spend a lot of my computer time on Diaper Swappers, because we use cloth diapers on our littlest, and I am always curious about what others are using on their little ones. I recently have become obsessed with wool yarn, because I have always been in love with hand knit "longies" as they call them in the cloth diaper world. They are a pair of hand knit wool pants for baby, that double as a super cute diaper cover. For all you non cloth diapering folk, yes wool is used as a diaper cover, and it is actually the most natural cover you can use on your baby- as opposed to the old "rubber pants" version. (which acutually really don't exist anymore- they have been replaced by other synthetic materials, such as PUL and nylon.

So, anyway, I have some yarn on its way to me that I had purchased a few months back. I plan on having it knitted up into some pants. I do have some yarn with a knitter, Angela from FairyBlue Knits and Yarn, who is making me this lovely pair in a colorway she has called "KaPow!"

They are pictured above. Pretty nice, huh? I really am loving them, and cannot wait to see them in person!
I dont knit, but I wish I could. I have been thinking about going to a knitting circle with my aunt- she attends one at her church- i thought that i could probably learn a lot from the group, but finding time to actually go- well- you can see how often i have time to blog. :)
so i guess i will leave now, hoping to be back tomorrow, or at least once more this month. Thanks, Angela, for knitting such beautiful pants for my son, and I cannot wait to see them irl! (in real life)

forgtfullness

well, we will see how long this lasts. I already forgot that I started this blogging thing- and I just started 2 days ago? yesterday was full of surprises- my oldest did not have school so we spent the day on a LONG overdue project- organizing his room. now, i am really good at organizing and cleaning, when i want to be. yesterday, i really really wanted to be. we cleaned out bins of unused toys and finally got all the hundreds of books in order, and gave the whole room a good cleaning. thank God. i just hope that it will stay this way. usually when you give my son some help with the organizing, he sticks to it and can do a good job- but it does all go down the drain after a few weeks. now, just if i could get the rest of my house organized! ha ha! yeah right, not with 3 boys in the house. boys are just dirty and messy. i hate being the only girl. even the damn cats are boys. ugh!

so anyway, this will probably be short, since the littlest one just takes quick naps- and once he is up, computer time is done. he is not old enough to play by himself, or be left alone by himself for too long. that is OK, because he is just too damn cute. i love his laugh, it melts my heart.

once e gets off the bus, we will be heading to the store for new Legos. we have been saving our money for some, and since he puts half in the bank, he has been saving for a while to finally get to where he is today. I am really proud of him.

i guess i will tie things up. i want to research a few things before the baby wakes up. i still am looking into changing my food- i really should not ever go back to eating dairy, and i am thinking of cutting out gluten. quite a big job. not too sure if i will be able to, but i really want to try. my gut has been hurting for a while now, and it is not fun.

OK, hopefully i wont forget again that i have started this "Doogie Howser" thing- blogging.....

today i start

Today I start blogging. We'll see how I keep up. I am really good at starting something and not finishing. I figured I should start with some things that have been on my mind lately. Things I'd like to do, but really have not gone thru with yet. Like knitting. I know, everyone knits these days. Just like lots of ppl blog. I'd also like to return to soapmaking. I miss it. But, with a 5 month old in the house, there really is not much time for anything other than changing diapers, napping and breastfeeding. We will see. I would also like to return to the gym and finish the two books I have started to read. I have recently become intrigued with the BBC program You Are What You Eat. Maybe I will try to detox and start that new eating lifestyle.
But for now, I must logoff- baby Jack is awake, and he pooped....ugh!
